Origins
In April 2023, the "walragotchi" pet care simulator was introduced alongside pet rocks, allowing for more interaction with owned pets. It was already possible to "play with" the previously existing pets (walruses and phoenixes) by selecting and clicking on them, but the new system came with stats and attributes, as well as a "hotel" to allow stats to be frozen.Pet List
Pets appear as inventory items, but not all inventory items count as pets in the walragotchi. The ones that do are:

Using the Walragotchi
To activate the system for a given pet, the pet merely needs to be provided with a name and have their pronouns selected (it is possible to change these later via the cog icon); without this, a pet's stats remain in stasis at 50%. The page will then display the pet's name across the top, and a bit of text below the pet's image describes the pet's response to your most recent interaction. Below that are bars to measure the pet's current satisfaction with their stomach (how full they are), fun (how entertained they are), and hygiene (how clean they are). Buttons under each bar light up when the bar drops below 100%.The most basic interaction is to select your pet or click on its image, which is treated as simply visiting or spending time with your pet; it does not change any of the stats, but the text displayed in response will reflect aspects of your pet and their attributes.
The fork and knife button below the stomach stat opens a menu with several food options: fish, apple, ice cream, burger, taco, and pizza. There is no nutritional difference for your pet, but one of the options will be your pet's favorite food. Once identified (hint: watch for an extra reaction on the pet's image and in the reaction text), feeding your pet their favorite food will give a very slight, immediate boost to your pet's overall wellbeing. Trying to feed a pet whose stomach stat is already at 100% results in a message that they are already full.
The baseball button below the fun stat is how you play with your pet. The fun stat maxes out at 100%, but you can still play with your pet for the joy of the text reactions.
The tub and shower button under the hygiene stat allows you to bathe your pet. Pets will periodically need baths anyway, but most pets will also need a bath after eating. While the other buttons may need to be clicked multiple times to reach 100%, this one only needs one click to fill up, and it will be unresponsive if the hygiene stat is already at 100%.
Pet Attributes
Clicking on the information "i" icon to the right of your pet's name will open your pet's information. (The cog icon next to it allows you to change your pet's name, pronouns, and hotel status.)Each pet is randomly assigned three attributes. The first is a personality aspect, which influences the general text reactions. The second is their appetite, which controls how fast they get hungry when not in the hotel. The third is their entertainment needs, which controls how often they need to be played with.
Below the three attributes is your pet's "overall wellbeing." This number is calculated based on the averages of your pet's stats over time (according to periodic system checks). For pets that are capable of participating in in Epic Week battles, the overall wellbeing of your pet can also impact how much help they are able to give you.
