Zara Tigris

Born in the mangrove forests of the Sundarbans, the tiger was one of a set of triplets. Her mother found a very large tree with a hollow deep enough for her to bear her young. Her territory was rather small but the food was plentiful. She grew quickly with her siblings, doing what the wild things do. When she was about two and a half years old she started to wander away from her mother's territory. She would always come back every month or so. On one of her forays away, she found herself being attacked by the strange creatures her mother had steered clear of. They had chased her, making loud noises and shooting at her. The Tiger panicked and ran headlong into a trap. There had been talk of a man-eater in the area and the humans mistook her for the man-killer. Instead of being killed, the people were convinced to sell her for profit. So she was drugged, whisked away on a ship and found herself in the clutches of an unscrupulous bunch of pirates. When she was awake she was tortured and prodded, creating a very angry feral tiger. She was delivered to an island where it was said she would be used as bait for the gladiators' practices.

Into a cage, in the underbelly of The Golden Tether this enormous cat found herself. She was wild with rage and hunger. She lashed out at anything or anyone that came too close to the cage. Trying to give her time to settle in, the guards had kept most away until one night with a brave, or stupid Viking stumbled upon the angry cat. He fed the beast for days from his hand and then he claimed her as his. Now the massive animal sports a very thick metal collar around her neck and is often connected to a downed column in the jungle from a very long and thick chain. Her owner's name is Hauk. She is beginning to trust that crazy Viking very slowly.
